Muir looks ahead to 2012 BSB campaign

SMR team owner Shaun Muir is preparing for the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship season as work continues behind the scenes with the team who won a maiden BSB crown last season.

The Swan Yamaha pairing of champion Tommy Hill and Michael Laverty rewarded the team with their strongest campaign to date with ten race victories and a further 14 podium finishes, with the team-mates first and fourth in the final standings respectively.  Muir is now looking ahead to the new season after the team recently celebrated a podium finish at the Macau Grand Prix with Ian Hutchinson finishing third on his return to competitive action.

Team Owner Shaun Muir said: "The dust has only just settled on this BSB season and it has only really just started to sink in; in fact the whole team only celebrated the title win this month as it was the first chance we had! It has already been a busy winter for the team and in addition to BSB we also spent time preparing for the Macau GP where Ian Hutchinson did a fantastic job to finish on the podium. We are all looking forward to next season and the development of the bikes to the new rules. We have also been talking to new partners in addition to our existing ones and we are already excited about the prospect of 2012."
